Wow!
I just checked my sitemeter and found that people in Ireland, Japan, Australia, the U.K and all across our fifty states are checking out my blog. And I must say that is just a lovely feeling to experience. Although it does make me a bit skittish about posting anything too juicy. Eek!
I Must Confess
I have been having a torrid email/text affair for the past few weeks with someone from my recent past who I should absolutely NOT be talking to whatsoever. Things were typed that I could never say out loud. We even met in person so that we could steal a few moments of each other’s company. Sigh. Is the fact that it is so off limits the reason why we crave it even more?

Whew!
OK, since the new home page of Tumblr debuted, I have started following all sorts of interesting folks. However, I find that there are nearly 30 pages of new stuff to look at every time I check the site. Whew! Anyway, below are some of the items that caught my eye. Special thanks to the originators of each post. As for tonight, I am headed down to The Sommet Center to catch Kid Rock and Rev Run....
travors:The problem you’re dealing with now won’t last forever. No matter how huge it is in your life today, some day it will become a faded memory. You’ll need to find patience but for now, take a look at the new strengths you are developing. Take a look at how you’re standing on your own two feet. It’s ok to feel and express a loss, it’s a strength to do so. It is an amazing quality that you...

Let it be known that...
…I ran 9 miles yesterday. No kidding. NINE FREAKING MILES. OK, so I may have walked some of the way but the point is still that it was NINE MILES. I feel great. :)
Blizzard in Music City
The snow is really coming down here although not all of it is sticking to the ground. Its absolutely gorgeous and so wonderfully romantic. I wish I was at home right now sipping hot chocolate and snuggling. :)

We all make mistakes sometimes
I think I accidentally erased the original person’s name who posted the Marion Cotillard quote below. I think Mascarah may have posted it originally although I just tried to check and after navigating through the 24 pages of new posts on my dashboard, I gave up. Anyway, it was totally unintentional and it will not happen again. No need to fret. :)
tumblinas: jennibee, i’ve been in many a toxic friendship situation and it is best to end it sooner rather than later. a friendship like that will only dig you deeper into that hole and, consequently, make you more and more frustrated and angry. my best advice is for you to, as mascarah said, tell her how you feel. you don’t necessarily need her to explain herself because i think, at this point,...
Marion Cotillard told reporters she was ‘overwhelmed with joy and sparkles and...
– I love her for this. If I ever win anything - anything at all - I will quote Marion and her joy and sparkles and fireworks. (via juliaallison) (via tumblinas) I think Mascarah originally posted this and I think I accidentally erased that part when I posted it. Totally unintentional. No need to...
I just considered...
…removing my last post to avoid the drama that might come with it, if the person that I am speaking about somehow stumbles upon it. But, after careful consideration, I realized that it is the whole and complete truth and you can’t hide from that. So, I’m leaving it. And that’s that.
My brain = mushy goo
I am beyond tired. I have gone out every single night for the past 30 years of my life and I think I may need a nap. The Oscar party last night at The Belcourt Theatre was lovely. Worth it to miss out on sleep. I have been on deadline all morning. I cranked out my column but I don’t think I’ll be winning any Pulitzers anytime soon. Tee-hee. On another note, I checked my myspace and...
People say that Hilary is a bitch. Let me say something about that - she is. And...
– - Tina Fey (Who is pretty much the coolest, smartest and most awesome woman in TV) And btw, I’m not necessarily Pro-Hilary, but people need to think of some better flaws than “she’s a woman” or “she’s a bitch” or “she will get old” or whatever. She’s a smart broad. And people, be real, politicians...
Oh, I almost forgot
Last night Micah told me that I am a good communicator and that I always make sure everyone is included in the conversation. I believe she also added that that is a sign of sensitivity. I have to say, that it was the most lovely compliment that anyone has given me in a very long time. I don’t know why, but it just really warmed my heart. So thank you Micah, you are a dear to go out of...
Well good morning to you too :)
I woke up this morning with a grin on my face. Must have had some lovely dreams although I can’t remember them. And then, just as I was crawling out from under my covers to get ready for the day, I was greeted with some delightful text messages from a cute boy. You know who you are. ;) As for last night, I got ready in a mad dash and headed over to Steph’s spot to gather the troops...

– just another one of the badass lines in Michael Clayton. This movie is much better the second time around. (via mascarah)
I saw you tonight...
You looked good. Real good. It was nice to see you two nights in a row. Made my weekend actually. :) Who knew it would turn out this way?
My head hurts
Oh goodness what an evening. After a visit with Cullen at Agave, Layla and I made the Music City rounds, giggling all the way. I had more fun last night than I have had in a very, very long time. We made a pit stop at Layla and there were some serious shenanigans. First of all, someone sitting or standing in a booth near the VIP rope had the most serious case of gas I have ever come across in a...
Oh what an evening
It’s late. It was fun. Beyond fun. I think I giggled more tonight than I have in months! Met a cutie. Mmmmmmm. Layla was on her game and then some. She even had to regulate one gal that tried to hang onto her coat at Layl’a. Mount up! Oh me oh my! I can’t even go into everything right now but I’ll try to recap it tomorrow.
Friday, Friday, Friday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well folks, here we roll. Tonight I am on a mission to hit every single bar in town!! OK, not really, I just have several pitstops to make tonight. It’s gonna be a busy one. 12th and Porter for the rap show, Lot 7 for the rock n roll prom, Wildhorse for Ligion, Viridian for my pal’s bday, Virago for another bday, Layla for another bday and finally 23 for another bday. I’m...

jocelynsmith:I swaggered through my twenties with the self-righteous assuredness that only youth brings. Always certain that somehow, even though I had been proven wrong, somehow I was right. My twenties were a cragged mountain, a crashing waterfall, violent ocean waves. Noise. My twenties were turbulent rivers, dark lakes with major undercurrents. You can only tread water for so long. My...
It's Just Lunch, Right?
Lunch - a time in the middle of every day where we have a meal or hopefully a healthy snack at least. The perfect opportunity to escape work even though we often meet to discuss business. Or perhaps, every so often we meet with long lost pals to chat and catch up. Those are my favorite types of lunches. I had one of those today. It was much more pleasant than expected. Not that I expected it to be...
