I expect half my friends on FB to remove me by the end of the week and I don’t know why - well, I do know why and it is so goddamn depressing because most of them I know IRL and they aren’t bad people but they say some really damn ignorant things on FB that have upset me and this is the only way I can speak up without turning and running away like a coward. So yeah. AGREED. ehh.  these things in and of themselves aren’t funny, but i think that humor can be used in relation to SOME of them in order to force people to confront their prejudices.  people are hard to reach; humor is just one tool in a toolbox for reaching them thoughts?  I would say that humor used in this kind of context is appropriate, but things like that TV show Outsourced’s racism are not funny.
